I’m a riddle of four pillars, Sharing the weight of humanity. A pedestal of power, Unyielding and tough, Yet helping to bear the load. I’m a position of strength, But a crutch for the weak. A staff, a harness, a place for rest, You’d wish to be near me to help with your test.
I keep you from getting hurt, you may see me while working on a shirt. I slide over that nail, and hope to not make you yell. I have no distinct smell, if you drop me on the floor I sound like a bell. You can go inside, but there is no room to hide. As you sit in your rocking chair, if you need me I'm there.
I drink the blood of the earth, a cheetah or an ox a centipede crawling on many legs or a kangaroo on just two. Like a tornado or windstorm, I am unpredictable. Without a good trainer, I would go wild.
